Just picked this up this evening, it's pretty ragged out.

Not sure what I'm going to do with it yet, but here's a few pics he had on craigslist and emailed me.

He said its been sitting for 2yrs, couldn't get it to start, but its getting fuel and spark to the dist.

The coil wire was all corroded and I bet the distibutor cap is corroded on the inside. Not to mention 2yr old gas.

I think all s10 windows are tinted the same. Mine on my baja are just dirty not tinted.

You might check local laws on window tinting, I don't know about iowa laws, but indiana laws are fairly strick but they don't always enforce.

I believe in indiana 35% is darkest allowable but I see darker all the time.

35% imo is not very dark.

I also found a rusted out drivers side rear spring hanger and frame.

Bushing is just floating around in whats left of frame.

I don't know why some people treat vehicles like crap, a garden hose or car wash would save lots of vehicles from rust.

I picked up a couple of rust free doors and tailgate off of a 93 sonoma yesterday for $50 a piece.

Guy said he bought it off of an older guy that always garaged it. Then he rolled it in a ditch back in dec. It only had 46k miles on it.

Got complete door with power window, locks, door panels and exterior mirror.

Also got carpet and seat belts for my 89 2wd.

I've been doing a lot of tinkering with this thing, got the whole interior gutted and cleaned. Also touched up the floor where it had been wet(I think I got all the leaks fixed except the rear) the front was in the cowling.

I used seam sealer and it doesn't leak in the front anymore. The rear I thought it was the back slider, so I took it out cleaned the rubber and the window and put it back in. Still leaks somewhere haven't figured it out yet.

Today I relined the headliner turned out pretty good for my first time. Tried to reused the old fabric, but it ended up getting all stuck together.

You won't believe what I used for the material, but I thing it matches good.

Here's a couple pics

I've also got a bad miss going down the road, I have a pretty good idea that there's water in the gas and I put a bottle of stp fuel treatment in it to get rid of the moisture, but I haven't had a chance to mess with it, in about a week now.

Well with all these projects I going I finally got the baja running a little better thanks to deathpheonix for the wiring diagrams.

I found a 3 wires behind the distributer that were cut. One was a ground, one was for 4th gear, the other not sure yet.

Drove it down the road a few times, much better than before. So I'm on my way to getting it running good.

Anybody know what sensor is behing the dist. on the block? Thats where my other wire is cut. Dark blue wire, Maybe cranks sensor of detonation sensor?

Anyway thats where I'm at now.

Also I had a had an idea about a knock on the back of the motor, thought it might be torque converter loose. Sure enough it was fixed that yesterday.

I stripped and sanded one of my wheels this weekend, I think it turned out pretty good.

I didn't get a before pic but it was worse than this one.

I bought a can of air craft stripper to get the clearcoat off.

Then I started sanding with 180 grit sand paper (it was corroded pretty bad around the lug nuts) then went 320, 400 and ended up with 1000.

Probably should go 2000 grit but its not a show truck.

Then I used a polishing compound to shine them up some more and smooth it out a little more.

I think I'm going to get a mothers power cone to get around the rivets better.
