The new W6's are so sweet, the sound quality is untouchable! Where did you get your 200 amp alternator and how much was it?

i got it form summit.. i think it was $350 or so
Thanks, now I know for sure Im not getting one, damn.

Also how much did you pay for the 1000/1? Just curious, cause I pick up Arc audio 1500dr's for like $575 and they push about 1000/1 at 4 ohm and like 1100/1 at 2 ohm, the place I go to has JL amps but they never will price it out to me they just say its to expensive, get the Arc.

sounds like JL has some good stuff...... can you answer this for me:

whats the difference in the JL subs??

12W0 12W6 12W6v2
Differences are the amount of power they will take, difference in total volume, depth and quality. The W0 is the base model, W3 is a little better, W6 is the former high end of the line. the W6v2 is a beefed up version of the w6 and is similar to the new w7 looks wise but doesnt cost as much and takes less power. Likely there are other differences that others will note but i dont know a whole lot about JL because i dont like them

W0 have 1 4 Ohm voice coil
W6 has 2 3 ohm voice coils

when you run 3 w6's, the impedence is 4 ohm's(I think or maybe 2) that is optimum for most amps

The old W3's and W6's are pretty much the same thing, some actually say the W3 hits harder because it needs more air space and works good with ported boxes, my W3's are dual 4 ohm and the way they have it setup it comes out to 2ohms being drawn from my amp, this is running 4 10's. I think you can also get them in dual 3 ohm for running three, and as far as running 2 or four you use a dual 4 ohm, just have to set it up different, and the new W6's have alot of the new W7 technology that the W7's contain, but they dont have as long as throw, and Ive also heard the W7's dont sound any better than than old W3's, they just hit alot harder.
