modified hood

this is bandit 7 hood i just started on i am xtending it and redoing the hinge so he wont have to use his stock vent gaurd i still have to do the work to the fenders im making the fenders go up more onto the door i will keep all of you posted and how it turns out im going for the look that mercades has on there hoods and fenders im trying to post the pic but its too big please help how to make them smaller

piece of sheet metal then just welded it over the holes and seamsealed it im going to make a piece of diamond plate aluminuim to fit over top of it so it will look good when you open the hood

and for the windsheild just have to take offf hood and fenders

for the bezel, i just followed a street trucks article. I took my old jack cover that comes in the extended cab(abs plastic) and cut it out the size of the hole. I then heated them up with a heat gun and used the vent as a mold to get the shape. Ater i got all of them to fit in there snug; i krazy glued them. After i glued them, i laid plastic filler to get the vents flush. just sand until smooth. Primer it when your done sanding and then lay down some sealer to prevent bleeding and then its ready for paint. Use 40 grit to get the high spots out and 180 after the 40. If you want you can use 400 or 600 grit and wet sand before primer. *note* make sure the plastic filler pieces fit tighlty with minimal gap.
