im curious , hows the t5 holding up with the v8? do you have a 305 or a 350. I really want a manual in my truck, but idno what can handle the v8 power.. i really dont have much money to spend either..

The t-5 will hold up fine as long as you don't do high rpm launches and quick shifts. If you drive normally it will be fine. I've had two camaros with t-5s. I broke the shift fork in one cause I used to drag race the car a lot. The second one I had held up fine, even after I put a 350 in it, but I did drive it as hard. The guy I sold it to drives it hard once and a while and it is still holding up. The most common thing that breaks is the 3-4 shift fork and it is fairly easy to replace. If I had a set of clutch pedals, I would have a t-5 in my truck right now.

It all depends on the driver. Just don't expect to drive it like a muncie or t-10.
