most people say they're not worth the money. i believe you'd be better off with a tune from Wait4Me or another reputable company. lots of guys on here have the W4M tunes and are happy with them.

with the tune there are more variables to play with. such as torque management, shift points, rev limiter, etc.

i think the Hyper has only a few options.

I'm running it on my 02, I've honestly never felt any difference in power with it. I do like the fact that I can change shift points and rev limiter and other changes like tire size and gear ratio if needed.

I got one for my 02 off ebay for $20 bucks then had it reset for $60, so for $80 total bucks I had a perfectly working programmer....It didn't make a difference at all when I first installed it, but the more I drove it & about 500 miles later it started to pick up & now it has a little more low-mid range power....cause its somewhat harder to hook up...so I guess it has to program itself over time.

I called hypertech & the guy claimed that the programmers really help the 2002 models out a lot for some reason, but the 2000, 2001, 2003 didn't do as well. Go to www.hyptertech.com & see your vehicle horsepower gains.

Thing you got to understand that these programmers were designed to be 'legal' and therefore not do too much which could void warranty when new. So they are mild. They also were designed to improve a stock vehicle. Adding mods which change the powerband and tuning needs (like full exhaust, headers, rocker arms, full intake, etc) the tuner will not be able to help you get the most from your mods.
Best is to have a local person who has a tuner program like HPTuners and a Dyno to do a on-dyno tune. That will show you a real-world difference and have a dyno sheet to prove it. But that cost $$$
Next Best is a tune of your PCM or a spare PCM from someone like Wait4Me, Blackbear, PCMForLess, etc. They are able to get you more gains, adapt for whatever your intent is (tow, perf, economy) and adapt for mods. Usually the best way is to buy a TunedPCM from them so you have yours as a spare in case the other one isnt right, goes bad or you have to get a re-tune. And uually re-tunes are Free or cost little if you do more mods.

ya i wanna do black, I had black wheels on my old s10 and there just way easier to clean just whipe them offf instead of polishing them..but when you have a nice polished up wheels the truck looks awesome...I think those chrome ones would look better on your truck then those other ones, and heres my old s10 with the black wheels
