how do u go about making a dash from fiber glass?

how would u go about making a dash for an 88' out of fiber glass? would it be better to just cover over the pre existing dash with fiber glass? my current dash has two cracks from the sun im geussing. if u went from scratch would making a chicken wire mold work and covering it?

it's much easier to glass on the pre-existing one. a couple different ways i've done them is buildling a frame out of chicken wire then covering it in fabric. i've also built a mdf one, then used sculpting foam to shape curves and what not, then covered in fabric.

im thinkin chicken wire would work best... but how do u attach your new dash?

Use your existing dash as a base and you can keep all your mount points. Chicken wire sucks, MDF is good and urethane foam is better but more expensive. There should be tons of stuff on the web on making cross sections of MDF and skinning with fabric, that's probably the most common way.
