I need a pic of the gauges from a 2.2L with the needles at the rested or whatever its called stage (where they settle after sitting for a few days), all mine are off and i dont know where to reset them at.

Also how far down to i need to push the needles when i put them back in?

I tried posting this is in the s10/sonoma second gen section but i couldn't get any replies there, i figured i'd try here. Thanks guys

try turning your key to the run position and that should put your tach, speedo, and oil pressure zero. The voltage dial will be at 12v with the key at the run position.

the temp dial is harder, probably easiest way is go drive for awhile and let the motor warm up, then put the needle on where it usually runs when it is warmed up (about 197 for my 262).
The fuel indicator? lol don't really have a real answer on that one, I clamped the shaft in place before i took the top off.

Anyone have a answer for the Fuel dial???

And just push the tops back on firmly, not hard but just until you feel them seat into the shaft.
hope this helps

I dont have to worry about the fuel one, my sender unit is messed right now so it hasn't worked right since i bought it.

When i set the tach and speedo, should i place the needle on the actual zero or against the rubber stop thingy?

And ace, if you can get a picture, that would help me out with the termostat gauge, just make sure the truck has sit for a bit.

no, set them to actual zero, as long as your key is in the run position, not actually running...

Yea mine most definetly came with a tach, so i set the speedo, tach, and oil pressure to actual zero, gas gauge i don't have to worry about, all when the key is set to the on position

So now i still need to find something out for the temp gauge

I cant find the digi cam...so I had to use my phone, but t-mobile is taking their sweet sweet time to get the pics posted to my album [been over 3 hours now]. Hopefully they'll be up tonight when I get home from work....or I'll find the digi cam so you can have better quality.
