well tonight was the night, the beginning of the 4 ever evolving 98 s10,lol,well i started its not been as fun as i thought it would be,(its not that bad).well tonight i started removing the front end,i removed the grill, hood, inner fender wells, fenders, bumper,i need to remove the radiator and core support but did not have anything to drain the fluids into,so that will have to wait until tomorrow night,i hope to have the frame horns cut and interior gutted tomorrow night,(if the wife lets me go to the garage)i have a tendancy of not returning until 2 am,boy she gets pissed, well im off to bed i have some pics i will post with this and will post the ongoing process of the evolving dime,so come back and check up on my progress, and if you feel you need to put your 2 cents in go ahead, and help or ideas would be appreciated,im going to post the pics as thumbnails, does anyone know how i would go about posting them as a pic with my thread updates,so you guys dont have to click thumbnails all day,l8r

no problem man, and thats why i post what i post, to help everyone out. and the winter is what stopped me from doing the b/d but it warmed up, but then i hear for the forcast its supposed to get damn cold this weekend so now im unsure what day im gonna start doing the cuts. 1 question tho..

how is the cab held up while you make the cuts, and how do you get it to come down on the rockers slowly with out it slamming the ground?

thanx, in advance.
you can weld box tubing to the frame,i just used 4x4s,and laid it out on the 4x4sjust left 2 littles cuts on each side, had 2 people holding each side ,cut the last cuts and set her down,l8,

also so you all know , i am selling my 87 mazda,it was featured in the july 2002 issue of minitruckin and was built by russell diemetras and justin kline, the truck has a rebuilt engine with less than 5000 miles on it,has a header a new weber carb with only 5000 miles on it,and i have a new set of wheels for it and a new set of tires for it as well,it has an eclipse head unit, memphies 1000 d and a memphis studio 100 amp in it,and a pair of memphis 12s,and a pair of kenwood 5 1/4 door speakers,it has new glass in it ready to be tinted and a lexan charcoal rear window with a tag mount,i do still have the old yellow tinted glass with it as well, and tons of misc parts, other door panels, so fouth, has tweed interior, the interior has changed some since it was featured in mt,if you are interested email me at cyyoung@cox.net,there is a small pic on my sig,l8r

is this truck done yet
no its not done yet,i dont want to rush a good thing, lol, anyways it was just a long cold winter here in kansas, and the days it was decent out i did not have time i need to get some damn heat in my garage, anyways i have been working on it the last few nights, we are fabricating the brackets to mount the tank and compressors behind the rear axle, and last night we cut up the heater blower box, modified it to keep the heat and ac with the 18s up front, little trickier than i thought,i bought this nifty little plastic welder to put it back together ,any ways i will have some pics of the rearend and the blower box rebuild here soon,l8r

ihave heard that these handmade blow boxes put out measly amounts of air...almost like the stocker at the 1 setting...i wouldnt bother mark..
I COULD CARE LESS IF IT JUST THE SPEED OF BEING ON ONE AS LONG AS I CAN GET SOME HEAT OR COLD AIR FLOWING,THE HEAT WILL BE GREAT TO KEEP THE ICE OFF IN THE WINTER,AND KEEP THE FOG OFF THE WINDOWS,THE WELDER WAS BOUGHT OFF EBAY FOR 40.00,ITS REALLY KICK ASS WE WAS MESSING WITH IT LAST NIGHT WELDING PLASTIC TOGETHER AND I WAS SO SUPRISED AT HOW STRONG IT IS,ANYWAYS,WHEN USING FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS ,ALSO MAKE SURE YOU KNOW WHAT KIND OF PLASTIC YOU ARE WORKING WITH,THE HEATER BOX IS MADE OF PP PLASTIC AND YOU JUST NEED TO HAVE THE PP FILLER RODS TO WELD IT UP,ILL GET SOME PICS POSTED OF THE BOX SOON,,CAIN IS RIGHT THE MOD WILL DEFINATLY CUT DOWN ON AIRFLOW BUT IT SOMETHING I CANT GO WITHOUT,IFTER I CUT THE FAN I HOOKED IT UP TO A POWER SUPPLY,AND IT WAS KICKING OUT ALOT OF AIR,I GUESS WHEN I GET IT BACK TOGETHER WE WILL SE HOW IT WORKS,WONT BE ABLE TO TEST FULLY FOR A FEW WEEKS,L8R

who is going to want to say that it doesnt work the same as the original..after all that hardwork...
well any one with common sense would realize that it is not going to push as much air if you take away half of the fan,i know and am saying it is not going to be as powerful ,and might now have even been worth the effort, like i said if it can defrost my windows ,woohoo,im happy, its cool to each is his own,l8r

its cool,it should work out good for me,just need to find a way to clear the a arms now,i have the art uppers and lowers and the upper arm hits the box, under the ac portion of it,does anyone know if the byc a arms will clear it,mike at byc said he thinks they will but was not for sure, might just have to buy a set of uppers and try them out,l8r
