ok, here is the thing I may get flamed for this I dont know but a lot of people want to drag there truck but they just dont have the time and money to bag the truck let alone buy a already bagged truck... I was wondering what some people would think about making a kit that you could buy cheap that would bolt on and all you had to do was push a button and it would lower blocks or whatever and throw sparks? just curious as to what some people think about this I was talkin about wantin to bag my truck and someone brought that idea up

the air cylinder idea would work, but I have a way that seems a little simpler to me. use an air shock to actuate a steel bar. bolt one side to the inside of the frame, put a spring on it to pick it back up. an airshock is able to push really hard on the bar, so sparks would be easy. I actually made one and had it on my nissan. it worked great until I sold it. I used a cig. lighter compressor to push down, and had a valve to let it back out

uhh.... an airshock is exacTLy the same as a cylinder plus the dampening.
and my cylinder is 2way so i dont need a sPring even
yeah, I know. but to use the air cylinder to pick it back up, you will have to use 4 air valves.one to let air in one side, one to let air back out that same side, one to let air in the other side, and one to let the air back out that same side. it's alot more involved

no there isnt. the valve i got is a festo single solenoid 4way valve. its not a simple open/close style. it has 4 openings, 1 for air "in" (port 1), one for air "out" (port 3), and the other 2 for each end of the cylinder (ports 2 and 4). with no electricity, the air will run from 1>2 which lets air into the cylinder bottom, and the exhaust from the other end of the (cylinder top) comes in through port 4 and out port 3. give it 12V, and you get 1>4, and 2>3.
which allow the cylinder to extend and retract with one valve.

is the valve i believe i have

nah I realized the idea was stupid after I got so far with it... I needed an air tank and compresser... might as well bag it but then I totaled the truck so the idea died with it..

jeremy_nash took the words out my mouth with a spring between the mount and top of airchock. that would be the cheapest thing to do....

didnt they make something called sparkoo back in minitruckin couple yrs back?? kinda gay it showed a dude on a streetbike with them.....

back in 99 right out of highschool my buddies s10 had spndles in front with no springs and a 4" block and mono in rear with airshocks and it would drag the front when he lifted the rear. ruffride. when irode with him turnin corners would drag hard fun times being young. we didnt care about a thing. my blazer had spindles and 3" belltech coils with 2 coils cut off and mono and 4" blocks at that same time. very ruff ride. it was fun when we were stupid and havin fun broke.

Why dont ya just hook a ****ing block to a linear actuator and wire it to a momentary switch inside your cab...... Make a bracket to hold the actuator and another bracket for the block. You can get a cheap ass actuator at www.spal.com and they exert a good amount of pressure..Good enough to get some sparks, but youll never get the same results as you would if the bitch was bagged :haha:

Or just Bag the rear end and leave the front! But if you wanna do it cheaply, you can just build simple bridge and cheap ass bags. Buy 20ft line and fitings, but instead of hooking them up to a Tank and a compressor, put like a, i dont know how to explain it, but on a car tire there is the chuck where you put air in.(where you fill the tire).. You can buy those specially made to fit onto air hose line. Buy 20 feet of line for each bag and run them inside of your cab. Bring a screw driver and when you want to drag, let out the air by pressing the little thing inside the chuck and drag that bitch. But leave it down untill you can get home to fill them back up :)) That probably made no ****ign sense :rotf::rotf::rotf::rotf::rotf::rotf::rotf::rotf::rotf::rotf::rotf::rotf::rotf::rotf:

you cant drag on a static drop its just retarted but i gota mazda b22 with a 383 stroker in it iv gutted the interrior and inner fenderwells and chopped off the bumpstops i threw the torshions back in and with 'em all the way tight the front end sits about 3 or 4 inches off the ground and i bolted sum air shocks in the front aswell and when i hit the highway there is dipps and when goin over bridges the front end colapses and throws mad sparks but thats all ur gunna get with a static drop it just depends on the road you cant rig something up thats just wack.... i also bolted up a full size chevy truck to an s10 frame and it sits like its body dropped it was a drunk ideah that kind worked look in to it...

another way it to get airshocks run very small wheels and u need a 4 link to do it and a frame notch would be good if your not runnin 13's with small tiars but run the air shock lines to the back of your cab and bring a 5 gall air tank with you that has a hose on it and when you wanna get the job done let the air out of the fitting thats on your cab wall and dragg then take the hose of the air tank and apply it to the fitting you let the air out of and get pumped up... its retarted but it works.
