If so, do you know which wires to connect to for Electric Fan Control?

If not, can you recommed a Trinary Switch that I could install in place of the Binary Switch.

Part #?

Where to buy?

How to wire?

Thanks, Joel

Well I'm now pretty sure it does not come stock with a Trinary Switch?

Still looking for answers for:

A Trinary Switch is a 3 function switch that is frequently mounted on the AC receiver/drier of vehicles that use them.

First function is to turn AC compressor off if the system pressure is too low(under about 30 PSI)

Second function is to activate an electric fan/s when pressure gets somewhere around 220 PSI so the fan will draw air through the AC Condenser, which should help reduce the pressure and make AC more effective.

Third function is to shut off the AC Compressor if the pressure gets too high, somewhere in the 350-450 PSI range depending upon the system.

I want to install a Trinary Switch, in addition to my Temp Switch, to control the Ford Focus Efans that I have installed.

most of us here just wire in another relay that is enagaged when the compressor is installed. IMO its must easier to do this than rewire the truck.

If i am not mistaken you have have the e-fan controls activated in your PCM to control your fans. o they will come on at a programmed temp as well as compressor activation.

Thanks for the replies.

One of my main reasons for adding the Efans was to increase fuel economy.

I realize that wiring the Efans to activate with the AC clutch is an "easy way" to activate the Efans, but having the Efans run anytime the AC is running is going to run the fans a lot more than is needed.

If I get stopped in traffic and have the AC on, I will probably need the Efans on, but driving down the road at 50-70 MPH with the AC on, no Efans are needed, but they will be running, if I use the AC clutch switch to trigger them.

Assuming there is not another easy access point, I want to replace the low pressure cycling switch on the accumulator with a Trinary Switch and use it to activate the Efans only when needed.
