Im looking for an adapter for the back of the cluster

 

My understanding was that you’re going from mechanical converted to digital and need electrical puls generated signal for digital display …
This will connect to transmission where speedometer cable come out..
Do you still need the speedometer cable???

 

Never said I need anything for the speedometer

 

the harness is readily available online, I forget the part number but the digital dash needs converters if you are going from the mechanical dash and there is a writeup somewhere on its pinout

 

I am changing to a digital dash and it requires a different style wire connector

Instrument Cluster Conversion

 

I don’t think so. Only because the female side that would normally be the cluster isn’t a standard connector housing. I’ve used post-88 radio harnesses and adaptors and just pigtailed a digital dash connector for the extra length. It’s a lot of crimping but its a nice small connector. The housings are everywhere in junkyards and the pins are readily available from mouser and elsewhere.

Those pins for the analog dash I think are the same as the pre-88 radio connector, and I don’t think they’re made anymore so it’s a dead end.

 

personally because I Hate myself I've made every wire it's own connector on a few of them
