i think passive, it is kind of all new to me, im not trying to make a component set-up or like a 2-way or 3-way i am just wonderin if i should run crossovers, like would i benefit by gettin better sound out of those speakers?

oh and srry about our little mishap about a few months ago!

those two speakers cover almost the same frequencies so if you're going to run them all you could crossover the 8" ones for the 70-3000Hz range and the 6" for 3000Hz to 9000Hz if you wanted. But don't forget you need something for the 9000Hz range and up...

You could also just run either the 8" or the 6" speakers and add tweeters and have a nice set of 2 way passive components with a crossover on them.

using both the 6" and 8" speakers you have though, you really need to either make a 3 way setup out of them or lose one of the two sizes because they cover nearly the same spectrum of frequencies.

i say put the seleniums in an enclosure for some type of instrument and buy actual midbass drivers, tweeters and proper x-overs.

you will spend more time trying to make those speakers sound 1/2 way decent in a vehicle than what it is worth,if possible.
