yeah....I wish I had pics of when I bought it from the dealership....had pinstripes, graphics, and all those pretty emblems...no that bow tie is not painted and I'm not painting it...I just ordered a chrome bow tie...that is a sir michael's steel rollpan...I wanted to get the smooth rollpan and put the license box in the tailgate but I wasn't sure about the laws at the time so to be on the safe side I went with this one.....btw, the law(at least here in FL) is that your license plate has to be mounted at the furthest point of your vehical which would be the tailgate if the bumper is removed so that's ok....the license plate also has to be mounted horizontally...so it cannot be mounted at an angle....oh well
