Complete engine build list

Hey could we get a list going of all the parts necessary to build up a carb'd 350, because there always those little parts that we forget about like oil valley plugs etc thanks erik

Yup, but you should do at least a little looking on your own first. SBCs are the most common engine on earth, buy a book.

cam, and crank needing to be micrometer (spelled wrong) Pistons and rings, freeze plugs. you tell us what your know you need we will add in on the list. How much of an overhaul are you doing

Itll be fun when all the obvious ones are taken and the tiny parts....

i plan on doing a complete build up with just a rotating assembly so i need all the little things let me know if i am missing anything: Bare block, main caps, main cap bolts, main bearings, crank, rods, rod bearings, rod bolts, pisitions, wrist pins, c-clips or sirclips, rings, cam bearings, cam, timing set with gasket, lifters, push rods, oil pan, oil pan bolts, oil pump, oil pick up tube if not included, fuel pump(is a gasket needed?), fuel pump bolts, fuel pump shaft, oil pump, oil plugs, timing cover, timing cover bolts, heads, head bolts, valve springs, retainers, valves, rockers, freez pulgs, harmonic balancer and bolt, water pump, water pump bolts (gasket needed?) intake manifold, intake bolts, distributer, carb, carb studs, valve covers, valve cover bolts, breather (can i use this instead of a PCV?), thermostat, stat housing (gasket?) thats all i can think of for now thanks eirk

yes the fuelpump has a gasket. im not shure what a fuelpump shaft is...they work off of the cam, via a little arm. yes waterpump DEFINATLY needs a gasket. yes you need a thermostat gasket. you need a oilpump shaft if it's driven by the distributor.. maybe more

I belive the word you are looking for is micropolished? micrometer is a precise measuring tool.
