Cant Get Alternator To Charge Help

on my lt1 i cant seem to get a alternator to charge whats up ? i have it one wired hooked up to a resistor and to switched power to excite the alternator i have tryed 2 new ones but there not putting out any voltage at idel 0 amps at idel and like 130 amps at 2k but the voltage is really low like 12.8 or lower or sometimes 13.3 if reving alot what could it be

i have already tried 3 alternators still nothing im wondering if its a bad ground or something

get your volt meter and get grounding....

also your terminal bridge to all of your accesories..

I had the same crap on my truck, but mine is a 78 block. anyway the problem was:
There are 2 red wires that run into the fuse-box from under the hood. I did not have power going to both of them, so my voltage was, as you said 12.8 and mine woud not charge the battery. anyway it was the line with the fusible link on it that was not getting power. Once I fixed it, bam all good! Best of luck.
