I've got 2" spindles and 3" springs. I've got toxic shocks up front. I have barely an inch of clearance from the top of the inner fender. I have no problems with rubbing, though i did take a hammer to the inner fender a little bit.

 

Mine rub when I hit big bumps. It just scuffs the wheel well. As long as theres nothing sharp I think youll be ok.

 

i rub on bumps too, and or quick dips in the road, you'll be okay

 

my tires are wearing through the tubs (outter wheel wells) hehehe

 

With a 215 65 15 tire, you won't rub on a 4" drop, unless you hit a major bump

 

heh.. my front tires are 215/70/15 heh.. my front tire on my 17's is 235/45/17.... and they rubbed a bit to.. the 4" drop in the front is just estimated tho.. it could be more *shrugs*

 

im running 2'' spindles and 2'' coils, i have almost 1.5'' of clearance. i also have nitro drop shocks. i rub in just about every tight turn. I dont think it is enough to blow a tire. i think i would like to modify my inner fenders a little bit this summer when i paint my truck so that i will clear.

 

anyone have the stock height of a first gen.. from the ground to the bottom of the lip???

 

Meaured from the ground to the bottom lip in teh middle of the fender, I measured 30" in the front and 31 1/4" in the back

go with a smaller 50 series tire, easiest and cheapest way to prevent rubbing!!!-Vertically-Challenged Maryland Matt

 

i got drop shocks, 2' spindles , 2' springs ( i think) and blocks........no rubing unless i get dropped out of a 747

 

i have an xtreme with a 2/3 drop and i rub like a mother... Thats with stock 235 55 16.

I have a 2 inch Spindle drop up front, and 2 inch blocks out back. I only rub when im at full turn in my driveway. Going down the road I dont rub at all. I steer clear of potholes.
