If it was where the dash blank was like space for an optional feature button, its commonly a space where an installer will drill out a round hole for an alarm LED.
Some of the pushbutton 4x4 models had that there stock IIRC...... Other factory installed switches were installed in the blanks.
I was assuming there was some kind of switch there, a picture would help to identify what it is if it is stock, probably not if it is aftermarket......
blazer's would also have the rear defrost and rear wiper controls in those two slots above the light controls. pull that panel out and see if the switch is even hooked up to anything.
everything looks like its original and came with the truck from factory i dont think the dash was ever removed or worked on since it was a scrap hauling truck from day 1 i dont think they cared
If its a round hole its not stock. The ones from the factory all had rectangle switches in them if they had switches at all. No matter the switch function it still looked basically like the one on the left of that red switch in the photo that was posted.
no idea how i dont want to break anything which usually happens when i do thing like this thats why my passenger door panel in my saturn has a nipple in a couple of busted pins and is ductaped lol
Stock fog would have been an added switch panel under that as was power mirrors and some suv defogger. Up there would be 4wd, and and some defogger if I recall.
If your truck was basic, there was nothing there. I would guess that was from a once installed fog lamp kit or something like that
