ahh what the hell.. just went ahead and took these... sorry for the shit quality but u can see what's goin on... it's my crew cab sdime, when im done its gonna be yellow and have a diff. set of wheels on it.. but you can see i've shaved it all around frenched the tag and suicided the doors :rock: :thumbup:

It's an ancient Chinese secret :naanaa:

on the doors, i reversed the hinges of course and cut the 90 degree end off of an allen wrench.. then lined it all up and JB Welded the wrench in for a hinge.. it looks ghetto at first but after you trim the seats and everything to fit back in .... u cant even see it

the plate.... DREMEL drilled 4 1/8th holes and then actually used a chainsaw chain sharpener to grind the rest of it out

otherwise, thats pretty badass. to be able to work on such a small scale like that is pretty badass. ive never been able to build models. always get paint and glue everywhere.

well it depends on the model really.... these unscrew from the bottom and the under carriage and seats, dash, etc. come out with it..... I then had to cut the bed out.... i took the axles out and made new mounts up higher than the old ones to drop the body........ It is different with each type... The white dodge i put screws between the body and under carriage to lift the front... I found air bag kits on e-bay for like 10 bucks or so... for models... and i will be picking up 4 sets to do all my model trucks....

 

I have always wanted to do mine but too lazy. Instead I waste my spare time on here.

well the rear doors don't open.. it would be a bitch and nearly inpossible to cut them out perfectly to open and make it look right
