Im getting ready to do a 4/5 drop on my truck. But, after calling around; I cant find any shops that will do an alignment.

Are there any nation-wide shops that will usually aligne lowered vehicles (like goodyear, or sears)??

It sucks to have bought all the stuff only to find out no shop wants to touch it. Im in Tampa, Fl so if anyone knows of a place near by Id appreciate it.

look around I took mine to a frame alignment shop. They had no problems.Ask the shop you go to if they do corvettes. If they do then they should have no problem doing a 4/5 dropped dime.
The shop u went to sounds like they are lazy and don't want any $$$

I asked at tires plus, and the guy was such a dick I will never give them any bussiness again.. and also called Tuffys where Ive gone for other stuff, and they said no also.

I work with a guy thats good friends with the owner of another Tuffys but its like an hour away. And if its heavily out of alignment I dont think I wanna be driving on the interstate to get there.

samandjen1 : The guy at tires plus gave me some shit about how they would have to build something that would cost like 700 bucks just to be able to get it aligned

Thats why I said I will never give them any business again. These are the same people that wanted to charge 800 just to tell me what was wrong with the AC in my last car

Okay, I dont believe that nobody in Tampa doesn't do alignments on dropped trucks.

Here's a suggestion though...go to the local hangout sites and ask the guys where they went (if they did).

you can align it pretty close yourself. set the camber as close to plum as you can get it. to do toe, use a tape measure and a buddy. measure the "same spot" in front and back of the front tires. that will get it pretty close = easily drivable.

Thanks, but I found a Good-year shop that will do it, as long as I can get it on the rack. I shouldnt have any problems with doing that with a 4/5 should I??

I have a 4"-5" drop too and I get my truck aligned at the local Firestone place. They were able to align it to within factory ZQ8 specs, so as long as the shop you're going to has competent employees, you should be good.

would it be easier for ME to fix the negative camber? Because what i did was remove the torsion bar bolts, and notched the X member farther down so my torsion blocks went further down. If i can...iv'e never done an alignment when i worked on cars/trucks, what do i have to do to get it close? I'ts VERY noticeable when i turn corners, looks like the damn thing is going to buckle but i know it wont.
