Working on the truck today. I replaced the CV boots and put 2 new shocks on it [Gabriel ProGuard]. Also, I fixed some rust on the body, bondo and primer on it already. See pic's. The other side with the holes in it from the tire rack is the next to get done started sanding on that but it will need ground down and sandblasted. Started to take off pin stripes that will be done later I dont know if I will put new on or just leave it off. I will up date when i get more work done. :D

Bondo over paint = no no...

hey guy, filler over paint, never. filler over rust, never. in fact, never put anything over rust, sandblasted or not, just replace it. not sure what you're trying to do but you don't bend fenders back in place, return it, or buy another. if they ****ed it up they should take it back. body filler goes over metal and raywmetal only, but remember to grind the surface so it has something to stick to. if you lay it on smooth and sanded out metal it will fall off in less than a year, I promise. I see way to many people do it-it doesn't work.

MAN $140 for those few items from a yard!!
WHEW!!!
Any chance you have access too a welder?
If so,weld in those sparetire mount holes,if you do real good you wont need any body filler.
Body filler is a double edges sword, aslong as it not a huge thick lump and is basically a skin coat you will be alright, but you dont want too fill in holes with bondo,or atleast not on a daily thats for sure, weather is a bitch on body putty!
If you do remove your body trim, use some good thin wire and or some high strength fishing line and be prepared for a huge amount of time getting all the glue and crap off!!!
Trust me!
Looks like a good start!!!
Have fun!

I know how to do the bondo. thanks anyways. The holes have already been welded shut so that isn't a problem. I will probably just bend the fender back it shouldn't be too hard.
Sorry guy,we just dont know exactly what your doing or your skills so....
I think it looks good, looks like fun,I know I'm having fun on my project also so......
Have fun!

Ok i was going to do leds behind the dash but decided not too. Anyways what is all involved in putting a tach in my truck. 4.3 also what would i hook into and how do you get the dash off to get to the wires i tried but didn't want to break my dash. thanks.
A Tach,some wire and time.
Run a wire off the + side of your coil too the input feed on the tach, then you need a hot wire when the headlights are on too the 12V feed so the light works on the tach.
basically thats a very easy simple way too do it,or you can rip into the dash and I forget which color it is on the back of the dash that is the + from the coil, its there, even if you dont have a factory tach.

If it were I,I would wire it in to my parking lights switch instead of the radio power wire, that way the light on the tach is only on when the parking lamps are on.
But ya,it will just have the tach light on the entire time the radio was on,but hey,its your truck, what ever you prefer is good for me.
IMO,the AutoZone tachs(sunpro I think) are OK for what they are,as long as you are not relying on it for extremely accurate shifts you'll be OK.
Ive got a shift light on my 91 project so......LOL!!!
I'm still wiring in the tach for the koolness factor ;).

Here is the pictures of the fender "the white one is the new one and it fits on there fine." "the red one won't fit on there right i think the guy bent it when he took it off the bottom front is bent out and the top front is bent down." tomorrow i am going to see if i can bend it enought to make it fit right. Oh the red one was of a 4 door does that make a difference? heres the pics.

Ok the rednecks at Maplerapids auto parts are ****in retarted. They dont have the parts so i am stuck with what i have. it got bent when he pulled it off cauz he leaft the bumper on and twisted it off. I have to make up a jig to bend it back so it will be a pain in the ass.
Well guy a NEW aftermarket fender at Pershings is $38+$25 pickup fee so...I know they have the fenders in stock,no 2 month wait for you!!!
I'd drive the 1 1/2 hrs too pick it up if I were you.
Good luck getting the fender too line up if its bent real bad.
