I am trying to fit 4 12 inch kicker comps VR into my extended cab truck. I am not able to fit them all facing forward and I was wondering how it would sound if I had two facing up and two facing forward. My friend recommended that and I wasnt sure if that would sound like shit or not. I would still divide the subs into individual compartments for each. Also should I try ports in this one.

I'm currently building a box to have 4 Kicker Comp 12's in my ex cab. My old setup was 3 Comp 12's, sealed. PM me if you'd like some pics.

My new setup will be 6.25 cubes after displacement tuned to 35hz. Needless to say, its a big box!

You could probably find 2 subs that would "hit harder" as you say than 4 comps, but then you'd only have 2. I want 4, which is why I bought them? Everyone on this earth has 2 subs. Thanks for your .02 though, I guess.

hmm I have 12's and I'd never buy a sub that again, seems like they cant keep up to some fast rythums, is it my crap stero? or what do you guys listen to?
no, it's just that the bigger the sub, the longer the excursion time.. if you have 8's, they'll hit fast as hell, but not as hard as a 15, but the 15 couldn't keep up with the 8 when it comes to tight, fast hitting beats... I want an extended cab so I can run 2 12's and 2 10's.. hard hitting and fast too!
