i was about to order some DJM 4" blocks from summit racing and they guy said i would need the blocks and then some " block plates " which are 21.99, can someone tell me what these are exactly? and if i need them? i dont remember my 3" blocks coming with plates

It sounds to me like these "block plates" that they are talking about are pinion shims. The price would be about right for them too. That's about all I can think of that they could be. If you get angled blocks you don't need them and if you have a reg cab you don't need them either.

they are probably an angled plate. They probably are selling you a straight block. You should, you don't have to, but should, have an angled block to keep the geometery of the driveshaft
actually you do need angled blocks with 4" to keep pinion correct. otherwise you'll have some vibration.


i also had 4" djm blocks on my truck for a while, and they were fine

I have DJM 4" block's on my truck and havn't had a problem in almost a year which include's hauling my quad's, they are angled also.
I did get a sheet that said you need the plate but I havn't used it.
I have thier spindle's too and they look just as good as beltech spindle's. havn't had a problem with them either.

I have beltech coil's and they have been fine.
only brand's I would buy are beltech, DJM, and western chassis.

yea i have 4" angled DJM blocks... and spindles and the quality is fine? and i have yet to have any trouble with the blocks and a pulled leaf.... and i got a heavy foot eather ripping around town or burning tire... but the wheel hop is a Bish.... but other then that the parts are fine
