2.5l vs 2.8l

so i know the 2.5l will outlast a 2.8l no problem but im woundering has anyone tryed racing a 2.5l vs a 2.8l

Not true, my 2.8 had 273,000 miles on it before I swapped to a 3.4, and it would have lasted probably anonther 200,000.

My 2.8 has been through hell and back, and it just wont die. And i did have a little street race with a 2.5. we went on green and he beat me to the next light. nuff said.

ya well i had a 2.8l in my 4x4 s15 blew a head on it put a rebuild motor in it and the thing was way more power then the old motor so im thinking the 2.8l new would take the 2.5 but then i havnt drove a 2.5

i donno ive got the standard 2.8l with 4.11 gears and possy and ive had so many people looking at me for squeeling the tires its not even funny

sorry ya i mean posi and freek you are right about them being light like me and my dad lifted the box off my truck and put a new one on without a hoist or anything.

but i donno mabby im thinking my truck would smoke a 2.5l is becuase i havnt drove one my 2.8l only has like 2000 km's since being rebuilt an electric fan and almost no restriction on the exhaust
