to correct everyone. 1994 banshees ran 110 bone stock, after that year yamaha started slowing them down cause pepz were getting hurt. i have a 01 and gps said 82 bone stock, and it depends with a banshee wether your on the street or not. 2 strokes dont get alot of traction on anything but pavement. in the dirt,grass, gravel, and snow, i get through 4th gear b4 i am really movin good, i walk all over 400ex's all the time, even some with a few mods. and with pipes and 112 octane and some motor work banshees can see over 120, and dont let me get into turbos, 135 in the 1/4 is the norm from a turbo shee with slicks and a wheelie bar. but to get it right. 04 is the last year of the shee and theyll be runnin 79 out the box. but they were alot faster in the earlier 90's, and just some fyi the carbs are the biggest reason they are going slower. older ones had 2 38mm carbs now they only have 28 or 26mm's. so there is some shee history for ya, and just so i dont start an argument. a 400 ex will werk a shee on the mx track and a dirt 1/4 mile and in the sand, but on the street shees rule.
