hey, what's the price on a RE XXX15 and a 15" brahma, and how much air space are required for each in a ported box?

and which one would be better off more SQ rather then SPL. the XXX cought my eye with the look's since this will also be for show.
looking to get 2 for my ext cab in ported box's.

also what's a good amp/s to run them?

The Brahma is geared slightly more towards SQ, the XXX is geared slightly more towards SPL. However, the differences between them in output and SQ will be so slight as I doubt you'd tell the difference. Id chose for other factors, price, availability (brahma's are on back order) and personal preference (cosmetics etc). I was at this same crossroads several months ago, and I chose XXX's.

XXX's want 4 cuft each, before sub and port displacement, or any bracing. The brahma requires a bit less, but how much I dont remember off the top of my head. For the XXX's, you're looking at 10+ cubic foot box, in an extended cab that's basically a wall. ;) Unless you do a blowthrough.

For an amp, XXX's want at least 1200 watts (real world RMS), but really prefer 1500-2500 watts. Brahma's require a bit less power, most people Ive talked to run them with 1000-1500 watts. However, power handling and requirements are very very box dependant.

There aren't many amps big enough to properly power two XXX's. You're better off getting two amps in the 1500-2000 watts range (ea). I have a PG Tantrum 1200.1 (birthed at 1550 watts) for each of mine, although not running yet.
