Everything they said above, but I'd also lose the trailer wheels. If your going cheap, find some Chevy rallyes. A Corvette 15x8 in the back, and a Camaro 15x7 up front. Or 7 all around if you want to keep the tires. Thats me, but I think rallyes look clean on pickups.

Ok here is how I would have it if it was mine.

- Lose the sun visor
- Give it a static lowering job.
- Paint the grill and bumper black and get an SS bowtie on the grill
- Rollpan
- Lose the chrome trim(around wheels and tailights)
- SS mirrors
- Lose the rain sheilds
- lose the little wing on the tailgate

And thats about it.

It looks good the way it is though.

Exactly, except i'd keep the vent visors on the windows, those actually serve a purpose. On top of that i'd do something with that interior, no offense but IMO that just looks horrible. Give it an all black look maybe with some tweed

yeah i'm keepin the vent visors cuz i actually use them.

I dont really care for the way they look but theyre pretty useful.

I've been lookin for a nice set of rallys off of a vet or camaro. havent been successful. most around here want a lot for them and like i said, im a college kid who's on a budget.

I didnt think that the interior was that bad but after college i plan to park the truck and do some serious modifications to it. I will prbably go with a nice clean stock interior. or if not that then just straight black. with buckets of course.

i'll try to get some pics up without the visor for you guys.

Stock sucks, let's face it. Leave the interior stock and you look like every other 1st gen that isn't modded. Put in some buckets, tweed some stuff, paint some stuff.
Lose the visor when you lower it, lose the chrome pepboys wanna be trim, lose the taillight trim, drop it (3/3) like you said.

man you guys are right,

takin some of that quadie lookin chrome off realy does wonders for the truck. really cleans it up.

i got rid of that pin stripe and the taillight trim and it looks a hell of a lot better already. didnt get around to the fender trim yet but its comin.

i would have taken pics without the visor today but its pourin rain. ill get some soon though.

well it looks like I am a little late here
my suggestions are to as others say lose the vidor off the roof
and lose the tail light chrome trim
drop it 3/3
but otherwise
I would leave it alone
I love it
but then I am kinda biased
my first S-series was a black 93 reg cab short bed 2wd tahoe 2.8 5 spd
it had all the chrome yours has (except it didnt have the chrome trim on the taillights) plus my truck had the rubber trim down the side
I loved that truck
I didnt realize how much I loved that truck til I wrecked it
the ins co was gonna fix it
but I decided to trade it in wrecked instead on my 96
I made out like a fat rat but I would do just about anything to get it back or build another truck to be just like it (except for the 2.8 part)
I will probably be getting my uncles 88 reg cab 4 banger for free some time in the next year or so and I will have my work cut out for me but my goal is to have it look just like your truck

Ok here are some pics of what it looks like right now. You'll have to bare with it cuz its dressed for winter right now.

I got rid of the tail light trim and lost the silver pin stripe. Looks much cleaner with just that little bit of change.

I know the visor is out of place. I just dont have the time or money to be filling those holes and painting it. So the visor is gunna be on at least until i lower it.

looks good.

ok, the next thing you can do is send me your clear turns and bumper lenses. :haha:

visor seems to give it that beefer "im a 4x4" wanna b look to it lol nice truck none the less
thats it! i wasnt sure how to say it but it does give it a beefier look. i guess thats why i kinda like it. it does make it look like a 4x4 and i guess thats what im partial to it... bein the redneck that i am.:)

I feel ya on the redrenck thing
I have always been a redneck at heart and always loved the lifted look
although I have never been real fond of lifted 2wd trucks
but I have been lowered by at least 2" and as much as 4/5 for the last 4 years and even tho I still think it looks good the hidden redneck inside me is wanting to take control
and I am now pondering what I need to do and what I can afford to do to make my 2wd truck able to clear 31's without rubbing
first and foremost on the list is getting the tranny rebuilt so I can actually drive my truck again but once that is accomplished I wanna get started on lifting it enough to clear 31's
I think I will start with a 2" lift coil and an add a leaf with Z85 leafs in the rear
and a 2" body lift all around

same here. leave the grill chrome. add some billet inserts to it. get a smooth chrome front bumper. lose the air dam and get one from a 91 sonoma( with foglight option)
for the tail lights. paint them. add a little black to clear coat and spary them. it will look nice with the black truck, but it wount look cheap like that spary tint garbage.
