Thanks guys. Today's plans are to find a place to powdercoat my wheel faces and clean the barrels for polish. Also order tires and adapters.

The show is on February 25th and 26th but the drop off date is usually the Thursday before that. Once we get close I will probably hold off on pictures so I can show everyone all at once. I love this color and I really feel like it's going to be pretty damn cool when done.

I will probably end up using a shop a buddy of mine recommended.

So I was bored at work and did the math on adapters/tires. I would like to stay close to the width I was at before so here's what I'm thinking

Front: 18x8" et20 1.25" adapter on 235/40/18

Rear: 18x9 et24 2" Adapter on 265/35/18.

Thoughts or opinions? I suck at choosing tires lol

We are really close to the same wheel offset as both of our wheels were meant for the same vehicle. Let me calculate that when I get home to verify, but my rear adapters are only 1.5" and I've got the flare shaved paper thin. You've seen the rear fitment! Mine definitely couldn't stand ½" more front spacing but I dunno the blazer body width may be a touch different than the bed width. I'll check

I'm was running 255/35 on. 9.5 with +22mm offset and I had about a half an inch to play with. I still haven't cut into the flares yet.

But you may be right. My wheels are .5" skinnier but tires would be 10mm wider also. I think 1.5" would be the safe bet.

No it was a run that got removed with a razor blade Heeter.

So after talking with Egg and Tommy I've finally figured out my adapters/tires. I will be ordering those sometime tomorrow.

F: 235/40/18 on 1.25" adapter 18x8 et20

R: 265/35/18 on 1.75" adapter 18x9 et24

The wheel barrels are at my buddies getting polished and the faces are at powder coat. Both will be done around next Mondayish. Currently redoing the bolts for the wheels. Wanted new hardware in stainless but these wheels aren't super popular in the stance scene so nobody really makes them. Plus these are titanium and they clean up fine.

Sent in my application for the show. It's the weekend of February 25th and 26th so I'm going to have to bust ass.

But the blazer is finally back at the garage. We were able to finish getting the doors together and the grill. Still need the body kit hood and tailgate but I've got enough to worry about at the moment. We also figured out the pan gasket is leaking in the tranny so I'll have to fix that but yeah. Now the fun starts.

Me either! Got the doors back together, and the interior wiped down. Still needs a good cleaning but it will work for now. Also got the headlight bezels swapped out and bowtie sanded and polished. It had gotten really bad in the last 8 years. Taillights are in and I cleaned some more bolts up. Hope to have it in the air and doing some suspension goodness by the end of the week.

So dusty

Still dusty but gives you an idea of the color combination

Mhmmmmm

Haha that's funny the more I see it the more issues I find with the paint! Oh well still going to drive the shit out of it.

Sorry, let me correct my last post. The paint looks great I'm just anal (giggity) about everything.

Hot Rod Flatz is a single stage flat paint so that means no clear and no wet sanding if you have a problem. Add to it that it has a lot of pearl in it and it just makes it that much worse. Anything that has to be resprayed also has to have primer put down again. If not instead of blue in turns out silverish.

This truck had a LOT of rust I kept hidden in pictures. The cab corners were shot. So bad that I could probably put my foot through the driver side. Matt fixed all the rust too.

All in all I'm very happy with the paint and I think once it's back together it will be pretty awesome just don't expect it to be perfect if you all see it out and about.

"Fixed" as in welded in new metal fixed, or "fixed" as in motornut123 fixed? Rust happens to the best of us though. Theses truck are all pretty old now and you know GM didn't really build them to last.

Blue suede shoes plays in my head every time I see it. lol
