i know there is a bunch of post on this that i have read but for some reason mine is complacated? i have a 96 s10 2.2 5speed im trying to put a 97 blazer 4door with a sunroof short console with the mode and us/met buttons in i went ahead and mounted it but im haveing trouble wiring it up. i see a few diff wireing diagrams on it but my wires on the console do not match up to any of the diagrams. i got it 2 come on but it just sits on north all the time no matter which way im pointed. if anyone has a diagram for this console that would be great i've wasted 4+hours trying to get it mounted and wired but all i have is it mounted and alot of blown fuses.

no i havent got it all hooked up it yet thou. it was freezing here last night plus i hate trying to wire stuff with a droplight. i used this diagram for some of what i got hooked up.

i do not have some of these wires thou i dont have a light or dark green with white stripe and some i have are not on here

i was looking at this diagram but it doesnt really match either some look promising but still not right

heres a list of the wiresi have coming from the ohc

purple
light green with a black stripe
grey
black
a darker green
brown
grey
black
black with a white stripe
white
yellow
orange

no but i can get one hehe

light green with a black stripe -
grey - dimmer voltage
black - ground
a darker green - 12v ignition
brown - 12v when parking lights are on
grey -
black - ground
black with a white stripe - ground
white - door trigger
yellow - 12v acc
orange - 12v constant

hopefully someone else who has put in a short console will chime in and help too. ive only installed a long one, and that diagram i just posted was the exact one i needed for my install

the diagram you posted doesnt match up either maybe i'll have to mix and match diagrams lol. the part where you posted the wires and what they go to right next to them is where im at right now. bascially i have all the lights and power hooked up but i have othere wires and cat figure out where they go im left with a purple, light green with black stripe ,and a dark green

i havent hooked up the vss yet. is there a wire in my dash that i can tap into for that or do i have to run from the puter or cruise control under the hood? the temp sensor is right thou light green with black stripe. i' gonna hook up the dark green to the radio fuse and see what happens.

i thought only the newer trucks 98+ had the radio volume speed thing? mines a 96 and had a crap radio in it when i got it
