Those were my thoughts

THey don't need the extended cab hanger bearing ones, and I don't know of another one that hits the ground. Unless it is for something else.

well i have a regular cab ('94 though) and the main problem with laying out was the tranny crossmember, had to modify it so i could lay frame, but i also had to cut the bottom off the tranny as well

Custom

If thats the case with wanting the x member, its more of a custom application that most places if any would never stock. Most shops aren't willing to cut the tranny to make a crossmember for retail lol.

If you could send low99 some pics or how to, he can go about fabing one up himself.

well sorry, "cutting the tranny" sounded bad, HAHAHA, just realised that. I actually meant there is a tab sticking down on the older trannies that lays out before the frame, and with a hack saw just cut it off because it isnt used for anything and must be used when the tranny is in a different vehicle?? And any modifications to the tranny crossmember that i have pictures of you can find in my thread in members rides. But i think some good money could be made on a fabbed up bolt in tranny crossmember... I don't know for sure if the newer trucks are the same, i could look under my dad's xtreme probably to find out, but all the older trucks at least cant layout fully without modifying the crossmember, and if they plan on dragging, they are gonna drag the mounting for that crossmember right off.

Hmm

We have a couple 98 regular cabs coming into the shop, I'll take a look underneath. Don't have anything older scheduled as of right now

yeah, just look to see how it mounts on the drivers-side mainly. On the older ones that i know of it bolts to the underside of the frame with a plate, and all that lays out before the frame.
