thinking about a wood bed floor...
not sure where to put it, so please move to appropriate section of the forum please, mods



anyways, ur2highmn's wood planks look the best outta anything ive ever seen.
anyone know what kind of wood/size slabs he used?

and the effects of weather on it?
itll be outside for snow/sun/rain/hail/ everythign.... which will give it 'flavor' and look better i think... but im not sure..

its just an idea right now..

but 2nd gen longbed with wood floor.
what do you guys think?

ideas?

tips?

the only thing i bought was the stainless strips, we made everything else. it holds up to the weather pretty good too, just lots of clear sealer
are they flat strips? or a u-channel ish?
coule you post up more pics of how you've done it?

i was gonna make it outta home depot stuff for cheapness tho. so its not exactly a drop-in ontop of the metal floor for you?

no, my floor has been bodydropped and its all 1x1 structure underneath.all the boards are individual boards mounted to one large sheet underneath, with the stainless strips runnin in between em.

what about a bed made out of solid granite? :) Now that would be tight, and you wouldn't even need to lower your car. You would drag the frame just by the weight. Do the wood bed it looks sick,,

rocks are too heavy lol
i wanna make it removable sumtimes tho... cuz itll be extra weight at the track......
i need another truck....

i prolly have close to that into my bed, lots of hours into making each individual plank, mine is removable also so i can get to my tank and compressors and valves.
