i've searched and found out about bad grounds and pulse boards for 2nd gens. i found its a bad ground cause i took a jumper wire and connect the neg. terminal of my battery to the housing of the wiper motor and it works. i read somewhere as to which ground wire was usually the problem, but i can't find that thread again. i wanna say its somewhere near the headlights, but not sure which side. i have an extra wiper motor from another truck if all else fails. thanks for any help.

There is no ground wire for the wipers. One of the screws that attaches the wiper to the firewall provides ground to the firewall. Either that particular bolt is corroded or the thread in the firewall is corroded.

You have to clean the bolt and the firewall threads to get your ground back. I'm so lazy that I'm permanantly using the jumper wire. It looks real ghetto, but I don't care : ) .
