Will standard s10 fenders fit, and be drivable, on a Zr2?

'99 zr2, 4.3, auto trans., 4x4 w/ np233 case. The radiator support out of a 2001 blazer fit perfectly, but the fenders are an area where there are differences between the submodels, i.e.; the 3.5 inches of additional width for the zr2's. Thanks 👍.

Fenders are the same...mostly. Non ZR2 fenders don’t have a lip built into them for the flares. So... no...they won’t work.
You can put the on and run them w/o anything rubbing. You just won't have any flares or any way to attach the ZR2 ones.

👍, Thanks. Trying to picture what that would look like and how that would work if I took the the fender flares of the bed too.
The bedsides have lips on them for the flares also... without the flares any mud or dirt from the road will spray up on the sides of the vehicle.

Mud already goes up my doors from the back of the fenders, where it normally does on trucks. Deciding whether to stop being a cheap bas*@&$, and just spend the money on 2 new fenders rather than picking up straight ones from the salvage yard; which for 2 might cost 60 bucks.
The new ones won't be OEM quality, unless you find NOS GM ones.

👍 Thanks for the info., NOS only has 1 fender for the 95- 99 years, nothing for later years than that and does not specify zr2.
NOS = New Old Stock.

Awesome, but there is a website that comes up if you Google NOS GM. Any suppliers that you know of that would deal with bigger quantities of these parts? Thanks.
About all you can do is specify CAPA grade parts. Which are supposed to be equal in quality to OEM. They're not really, but the cheap ones are crappier. The bolt holes are even in the wrong place on some.
Doubt you'll find new or used ZR2 fenders that aren't rusted. They really hold the water and muck up under the flares. And most owners have gotten them good a sloppy repeatedly.
If you are lucky enough to find some rust free ZR2 ones, pay whatever they're asking because the quality and fit will be there and worth the extra bux. Most ZR's are parted after being rolled so the sheet metal is usually no good.
