If your four cylinder has a T5 trans might be able to make it work.

The T5 has a bolt on bell housing, and the front of the the 93 and 94 S-10 T5 transmissions have the same bolt pattern as the 1980's Jeep T5s. Some of the Jeep specialists have bell housings to bolt the Jeep T5 to the small block Chevy V8 and 4.3L V6 engine. Check out advanceadapters.com their part number 712548.

Warning!!! First, while it looks possible on paper, I have not actually made this adaptation. Second the S-10 trans has slightly longer input shaft than the Jeep versions of the T5, and the S-10 input shaft or the adapter might require some modifications for the engine and trans to work together.

That is all I think I know.
