At some point last year I decided that my 85 (Which I bought in 2014) was not worth my time anymore, it needed floors, inner and out quarters, rear floor, and just had so much hidden rot, it was unbelievable. Yes it was drivable, no I didn't want anyone else to have it.

So cutting it up was it.

In preparation for that restoration, I bought a ton of parts and parted out JCMopar's old 86 3.4 swapped blazer, mostly for the engine.

This thing was super cool, but frame was totally gone. Did burnouts though!

Considering the west coast is still covered in these trucks, I started looking around on marketplace and craigslist.

I found this cool old 86 Blazer Sport, good two tone, Trailblazer interior, Z71 suspension package.

Perfect, I'll take it.

And that's about where I'm at.

Close to doing an initial startup and starting to put stuff back together up front. Pretty excited.

Are you having the seats reupholstered in OEM fabric?
I need to have my driver's seat reupholstered. I might just order the original covers which are available and replace them myself. And install seat heaters while I'm at it.

This hobby was cheap for a car hobby when I first got in it. Trucks for $300, JY parts 5-10 bucks all day long. Now your sending to Oregon for a decent truck and PA for a dash? Move over Corvette guys….
But it is a good looking truck.

Clean, original trucks only exist in PNW now. But yeah, if you look at the values of these trucks at auction, its becoming worth it.

Yes they are getting hard to find. I ran down to my local yard today and the S10's used to be all over the truck section. now they are getting placed in the very far back, next to the crusher. I was just there a month ago and none of the ones I saw then were there anymore.
Buy from a no salt state and usually your good to go!
