ok i was at the chassis dyno and got some real numbers

jet stage 1, intake, exhaust
98.8hp, and 120 lb/ft

jet stage 2, intake, exhaust, helix PT
99.7, and 123 lb/ft


soooooo our trucks are super weak

im curious u think those 17's maybe killing part of your hp....truck does look clean though...hope the dyno guys didnt laugh when the saw the low numbers im affriad to dyno mine

nah the dyno guy was cool. WE did two 2.2's one had the stock tires and the jet II, and Helix on top of mine he only got one more hp than me, and 3 lb/ft

its similar to other dynos ive seen on 2.2's

out of the 5 trucks that ran, 2 were 2.2's,
2 were 4.3's (170hp and 230lb/ft)
and a Lt1/t56 1st gen(291hp/299lb/ft)

also on the dyno i was showing around 120 mph in 4th:D

so that means I am putting out about 100 HP at the wheels
What do the stock 2.2's put out

yea there is a well over 20% drivetrain loss, Nv trannies suck. Its a borla turbo mufler with 2.25 in and single 2.25 out with a turndown. the other 2.2 had the same setup but it was a magnaflow muffler

you might not, 20% is a crapload and thats usually the norm for autos

There must be a better 5 speed transmission for the 2.2 that doesn't suck up so much power. What are normal losses for a manual transmission?
