All the time I run my truck at 80 mph, there is always a whining sound...its either from my wheels or from my engine...if it is from my engine, could it be because i removed my catalytic converter?...I noticed that when I went to the tracks, when I hit about 80 mph...my truck feels like its starts to lag...Please let me know what you would think it would be

my guess is the throttle body spacer, especially if its one of the poweriard or air-rotation ones

I was told that my whining was attributed to pinion gear angle. If your whine gets louder the faster you go and goes away the slower you go, it may be that. Also, it could not be corrected just moved to dofferent speeds if I liked.....
