just wondering if any of u other 2.2 owner's have experienced an engine whining, especially while turning for some reason. Need to know if it's normal or if i need to take it to the shop. It is a '98 model. Also, what aftermarket part can make the "powerplant" climb rpm's faster.

Whining while turning is usuly due to low power stearing fluid, I guess you should rule that out first. I got a 98 too!!!!!!

or it could be the driver whining about he should have gotten a V6  :D
Easy killer! It's not feasable for everyone to get a V6.

I would check the power steering if it were mine.
