I need to put a muffler on but which one? Right now I'm running a straight pipe with no cat or muffler. I want somthing that will tune it down a little. I still want it loud as fook. I was thinking of a spintech with 3" in at dual 2 1/2" or 2 1/4" out. I want it to be loud still. Is there a way to order custom mufflers like that from spintech?

Yep. Talk to either Ron or Dave. I had Spintech make mine up.
It's a 5 coil in a race case 2.50 in 2.25 dual out. Ran 100.00
It's not listed at their site. I like the one I have, but I'm changing
out to a muff that doesn't resonate so much in the cab. When
you get to Spin's site, go to products, the click street products
and that's where the street muffs start. I think the Pro street is
the loudest, but I'm ot real sure on that. The less coil you have
in the case the louder, I believe.

You might like the Pro Street in 3" single in single out.

You also ought to ck out Ravin muff's. They look pretty good.
If I was going to go wit another chambered muff , I might go
with the Z55 in single 3". Anyway here's Spin's site and Ravin's.

I'll check out both. I've heard lots of great stuff about spintechs. I'm just nervous on how much quiter my exhaust is going to get. I may get a cutout also to put infront of the muffler.

I think you'll be surprised how the exhaust sounds with a 3" Pro Street.
Course, you could always go with a Pro Shoot out. It's only 3 coils,
in a very small case. You could ask for just 5 coils in the Pro Street.
I don't know how many come in it. Spintech is about 30 min's
from me. I went and talked to Dave and came up with the one I
wanted on a Friday. they had it made Monday ! 100.00 out the door.

They make em in Stainless now, so you may want something like
that. I see yer running Mach Per heads. Bill has a Spintech on one of
his race rides I think. Why not give him a call, and ask him about
the sound and performance he may be getting with it..

the bullet is the same as a $20 glasspack cherry bomb. and a prostreet with no cat is too loud. zq8-97 has it and he doesnt like it.

spintech's are ok, but even bill has switched, if your staying N/A they are fine, but for boost or nitrous u want something strait threw, i have a dynomax on my truck and it sounds sweet, it s not very loud like my olf exhaust used to be but it s just a lot deeper, and has a nice rumble at the exhaust, i think it s there race magnum muffler not real sure on which one it is all i know is it looks like a good size muffler but when u hold it up you can look right threw it just a strait pipe, no bends or coils or anything to hurt flow.

I gotta agree. I like the Spintech I have, but I think I want to go with
a straight thru design. I'm also kinda tired of the noise, so I might go
with a Hooker Maxflow in 2.50. Everyone says go smaller..I only
need 1# to 2# back pressure. I get going just fine as far as I'm
concerned, so I'll get a 2.50 and shoot the tailpie out the back.

I'd go 3" but I would have to change the mid pipe and tail pipe to 3".
Right now all I have to do is cut the Spintech off and install the
Maxflow along with taking the left side tailpipe out. Easy doings.
