Ok so i figured it wasnt that bad, ive read that you can use almost everything from the 4.3, so i mainly need the headers, intake, and motor mounts.

so far for my 1991 2.5 to 5.3 its been

200$ complete good runninf carb'd motor
400$ for NV3500 trans and new flywheel
300$ for clutch and pressure plate
145$ for headers
100$ for 2.8 mounts and v8 swap mounts.
100$ for misc tune up stuff (plugs, wires, cap, ect)
assuming about 3-500$ for exhaust
250$ for new 87 vette radiator.
150$ for dual electric fans.

Thats all the work being done myself so no labour costs. Thats all the "necessary" stuff. If you have a 4.3 rad already, with good fans it should work fine for you. If you already have a trans that saves you a cost. I lucked out and the 350/NV3500 combo ended up being the same length as the 2.5/T5 so no shortening the driveshaft.
