Hey everyone,

I have a 83 s10 2.8 v6 Durango and was wondering what it was worth. I got offered $2500 for it. I Love This Truck. Im only considering the offer because I know the rust will eventually eat the truck alive. It runs great and the frame is good. The interior and in great condition. This money would go to a rust free new project. Ill be moving back to California where trucks are rust free. Ive looked online and haven't found any nice ones. People tend to treat these old trucks like crap.

Just want to see what you all think. This is my first S10 and would love to keep it but want to know if its worth keeping due to the rust.

Thanks in advance,
Yowakawaka

Good interior for 83! Still, it's rusty. I'd take the cash and go too. Only reason I still have my 84 is that it's a rust free Alabama truck.

Its worth what someone will pay for it of course. For a 83 in this area its not too bad but there are tons of s10s out there. now that being said if 2500 was offered you might be able to get a bump on it but I would be in the neighborhood of 1200 - 1400 for a 2wd. Course I have never owned a 2wd truck.

I have several totally rust free S10s. I may be selling one or 2.
PM me if you're interested.

Considering the year, the truck still looks good.
Just remember, if you drive these in winter, your rig will rust. Doesn't matter what you do.
"Rustproofing" only makes the truck last a few years longer.
Take the $2500 and shop for something with no rust. They are fewer every year, but you can still find them

Fairly common to find rust free trucks here in Alabama. We don't have that problem. They usually go to the crusher rust free. Worn slap out, but rust free. My truck is 36 years old and other than some minor surface rust here and there, it's in terrific shape.
