Today I thought I would take my comp apart just to see what all made it work,
So below are the pics of the progress,



Here she sits a super compact 209 model York compressor.


Next step remove the head bolts (may be real tight)





Now the top part of the head will lift off (do not pry hard)
Prepare to catch any oil.







If you look down from the top you will see a small hole (this is the ‘pisser’ hole this allows the oil into the head. I will explain later.


Now lay the comp on its side.
And tap with your hand on a screw driver to pop the ‘second’ head off.

Then stand the comp back up and remove







Here you can see the large open areas that you can place additional ports.


Or drill and tap the rear ports out and use them.


Bottom left is the oil hole where oil comes into the head.




All done ;)

Last here is why this comp is bad,

The rust has pitted the wall and the ring will not seat right so will not build pressure.

Hope this helps anyone who wanted to know what all is inside one of these.

BORE ITTTTTTTTT thats lookin like u coudl bore it to likean XR50 pistonsin t, make a monster EDC that gives those stroked 450s somthin to cheww onnnnn!!! lol looks straight man, if u find a rebuild kit for um post um the link id be intrested in rebuilding mine....

awesome man

edit: I see they sell v-belt clutches.. I wonder if they know where to find serpentine clutches, heh...

you can get gaskets and what not from a Freightliner dealer (yes some trucks run them) or from a parts store its a motorcraft part # like ye-14 or something like that.

The hard drive wen't flop.

Guess I am going to have to take it apart again and get new pics :) lol
