Alright so I just got given an '84 Chevy S-10 (carburator) automatic. The engines got 300,000 miles on it and I want to do some stuff to really get it in good shape.

I was thinking of putting a 3.1L '92 camaro engine in it (if I can make it fit) but I really don't know squat about what all I need to do to really get this truck into a good shape to drive.

Basically I need someone to give me some help and guidance on what to do to make a pretty sweet ride for not too much money.

All messages are welcome. Peace!

First you need to forget about the Camaro 6 cyl. Whats the point when you should be looking for a 350 SB.
A 3.1 will bolt right up to the 2.8 tranny and use all the accessories and intake from a 2.8. Direct swap.

Cyberbrat,

What is the 350 SB? I am specifically looking to put a lot of power in it and make it a bit of a sleeper. I want to know a real good engine I can make fit and all but it also has to be in a within reason sort of budget ya know? Let me know

350 small block V8.
The Camaro 3.1 is more within a budget.
