HEY GUYS I HAVE AN 02 XTREME 2" DROPED SPINDLES UP FRONT AND 3" DROPED SPRINGS OUT BACK
WHAT ANGLE SHIMS HAVE ALL OF U BEEN USEN ON THE REAR
END AND BEARING CARRIER
ANY HELP WILL BE APPERICATED GARY:bowtie:
so you only have a 3" drop in back? thats got to make for a really big rake.
for the shims with a 3" drop in back 2* should be fine. if you need to shim the carrier which you shouldn't with that drop. i would guess about 3/8" at most. but you still should measure all the angles if it has a bad vibration imo.
Hey twin s10 i had 2" angled blocks in it before and it sat perty level so i figured stock spring was about 1-1 1/2 so i got the three inch drop springs (i have a hard tannu cover)
thanks for the advice ill install the springs and shims this weekend
if it dont rain thanks again
You will have effectivley a 3.5/3 drop...and its gonna be raked pretty good. Whatever floats your boat. You need no shims with a 3" rear drop as far as i know. Install it, drive it, and see what happens. Post again after you do it. There is no magic number for this stuff.
hey guys i finelly installed the springs this week end,
with 2* shimes it is about 1/4" higher in the rear (not very notacible) still a little shake at 10-15 mph ill check the pinion angle in the morning and adjust as needed.
tought id let u all know thanks for the help
( ill try to post pics soon)
