Should have had the little turd help you build it, then he'd have an appreciation what it is and stands for.

Or next time ask what they want before you build one, avoid the inevitable disappointment.
I learned not to give cars as if they don't earn it they don't value it.

My daughter drove my 88 S15 until the engine quit. Ok the 2.8 engine is crap and it was full of sludge even tho I did regular Mobile 1 oil changes. Leaky intake manifold gaskets.

So I let her drive my sweet T-top 93 MR2... Her mother/my ex asked her if she ever checked the oil and then made her do it and it wasn't even on the stick! So I gave her my dad's Oldsmobile. So it wasn't a MR2. It was a nice car and it was quick with that engine. She trashed it. Never again.

The granddaughter seems a cut above big brother so that may work out.

Once you give something to someone, it's no longer yours. What they choose to do with it is their business. At least the grandson was up front about it. Not sure why all the hate and criticism.
I'd love to have a piece of my grandfather still with me.
