There are lessons we all have to learn the hard way.
Enabling your children just pushes those lessons down the road in their lives.

My dad had a million expressions, but one of my favorites was, "Son, you can drive that pickup as far as you want with no gas in it, but never without oil or coolant". Sounds goofy but it worked, I'm a dipstick and radiator checkin' fool!
