Well I have a nice big plate of 10 gauge steel, would that be thick enough to make notches out of?

According to a DASMA chart I'm looking at, 10 gauge = .1285. Stock frame is a tad over 1/8 inch, which is .125. If I were you, I'd get something a bit thicker.

Damn I wish I would have known that ahead of time, because I got half a sheet to gusset the frame horns, ao I'm gonna end up having more then extra, I wonder if thats even going to be thick enough for the frame horns.... I know FBI's website says their notches are made out of 10 gauge cold rolled steel. I havent felt good all day and ended up buying the wrong dtuff, I bought a full sheet of 16 gauge for tubbing my firewall and filling the floor after the body drop....

Jason's notches are 3/16" thick I think, which comes to .1825 or somethin like that... so you'll need somethin a lil thicker.
