These are literally the only 2 pics of these running boards I can find on google but I’m curious if this was a conversion company that did this to a s10 or if it was an aftermarket thing from back in the 90’s or what ...I have been thinking of getting a set for my s10 but can’t find them or anything about them. If anyone has any input that’d be awesome or if any one has a set I may be interested in them...thanks for any response that may come my way

As far as I know they were put on by dealers and "coach builder" companies after they were built. I got all my ZQ8 stuff from a 97 identical to the red one in the 1st picture.

The ones in that first pic were definitely aftermarket, although some dealers offered them. I'm sure they just bought them from a wholesaler and had the body shop paint and install them. On my new 93 K1500 I had the dealer install them and a fiberglass matching bed cover. They kidded me about it being a 4wd lowrider, but 2 years later when I traded it in I got more than I expected for it. The sales manager said "We want that truck."
A lot of the truck accessory shops and pickup cap places sold them, too.

I wouldn't be so certain. The one I robbed parts from like that red one was definitely a conversion truck. It has all sorts of weird wood trim pieces inside too.

Seen several of the back in the day. If it was a conversion, I would think there may be a tag or sticker in the drivers door at one point to indicate it. I know from 2000 up, We never had one come through off the truck with a conversion done to it.

I've never seen any of this style S10 newer than 1997.
