Good afternoon everybody ! TGIF, from somewhere on the right side below the glove compartment, i'm hearing a sound best described as a a latch or a door to something, having trouble gopening and closing, like it might be sticking in the middle of it's process, a/c is running, is that door controlled by a valve , or the main control mechanism below the radio? What else is down there ?

Is there anything wrong beside the sound could just be the ac vent
I blew an upper radiator hose , I think your right, the noise stopped when I shut the a/c off , but it also stopped when I turned off the radio. i just replaced the thermo, and that hose, I didnt hear anything, I was paying more attention to below the motor looking for leaks, i'm going out there in a little bit and start it again , this time I'll run the A/C see if it does that noise.
thanks for the reply,
jeff

The truck is not cooling down, while running without the A/C or heater on its @ 210-215, when I shut it off I can hear a high pitch hissing, or whistling. Theres nothing leaking, no steam , just that noise, weep hole from water pump.? I just put a brand new NAPA thermostat in .

you need to 'burp' it ...it has air trapped in motor
Thanx, , That noise stopped, now I got a bigger problem.

Chiltons will also be insufficient. Get a factory service manual for your year truck.
You can make an offer on this listing, save a few bucks maybe
