Hey everyone!

1991 s10 Tahoe, 4.3 L, v6, auto

I let my truck run idling for the longest I ever have since pulling it it of the barn and getting it going, about 10-15 mins. After running for a while, water started pouring out of the passenger side dash and from the vents in the picture below. I am wondering if a thermometer got to the right temp and opened something up and water that had pooled somewhere poured out?

the water was really orange and rusty. Smelled like puke kind of. The truck had pretty much been sitting in a barn since 2005 so I’m not sure where the water came from. A/c and heat don’t work anD vents don’t blow. Everything else seems to work just fin

I pretty much have no idea what I am doing mechanically. Where should I start looking? Anyone experienced this?

Likely the heater core leaking. Needs replaced. Htr hoses can be cut in engine compartment, joined with a coupler to keep normal coolant circulation, til core replaced. (Heater bypass)
You may want an experienced hand to do this fix. Highly recommend obtaining OE manuals for your unit too. This won't be the only thing eventually needs fixed.
