Hey guys new to the forum been having some issues with my 83 blazer it’s the 4x4 with the 2.8/T5. I just bought it a week ago and first day had to gut the whole carpet front and back because it was wet and already started to soil wasn’t a big deal until we got a heavy rain and the passenger floor had almost a gallon of water. All my seals are fine. It’s coming from the firewall right behind my air box. I have seen some posts about how it could be my raintray under my wipers is rusted out at the firewall. Can’t find too much info so anything can help

Another thing to investigate is the body seams/ sealant; they may have opened up slightly. Using a hose & nozzle (and maybe an assistant) spray small select areas one at a time with water to see if that may pinpoint the source of the leak. Be sure to check all of the grommets/ penetrations of the firewall as well for any breaches there.

Inspect the window seal carefully. It's common for them to leak. In fact, moisture from a leaking windshield is what often destroys the dash by soaking and expanding the internal foam. The headliner backing can also be damaged by a leaking windshield. If it does leak, the water will flow down the the inside of the firewall and can soak the headliner.
You can tape over the window seal with electrical tape, sealing the gap from the glass to the body, then see if the floor stays dry.
